Dayglow began writing songs together in 2001. Their self-taught
musicianship gave them an original sound and a recording offer
from a studio in their hometown. Breakdown Records was an
independent record store in Bayside Queens, with a new recording
studio in its basement. The band worked in the record store
during the day, and practiced and recorded at night. They did
over a dozen songs in one summer (co-produced and engineered by
Nick Rowe of Bloodsimple).
Based around solid songwriting, Dayglow are an interesting
combination of all of their influences, and have an equal
appreciation for underground and mainstream music of all genres.
Their unique guitar, keyboards, and bass, mixed with a variety
of lyrical and vocal styles, give their songs an original sound.
Dayglow has opened for acts like Life of Agony’s Keith Caputo
and Weezer’s Mikey Welsh. The songs recorded at Breakdown have
become Dayglow’s EP, and their song “Congratulations” has
been featured on
New York City
's Q104.3 Out of the Box with Jonathan Clarke. Click

Dayglow continues to play around the
New York City
area, and their songs are currently being played on a number of
independent radio stations. The band will continue booking
shows, festivals, and talent searches, and would love your
