About Dayglow

d a y g l o w m u s i c . n e t

Dayglow began writing songs together in 2001. Their self-taught musicianship gave them an original sound and a recording offer from a studio in their hometown. Breakdown Records was an independent record store in Bayside Queens, with a new recording studio in its basement. The band worked in the record store during the day, and practiced and recorded at night. They did over a dozen songs in one summer (co-produced and engineered by Nick Rowe of Bloodsimple).

Based around solid songwriting, Dayglow are an interesting combination of all of their influences, and have an equal appreciation for underground and mainstream music of all genres. Their unique guitar, keyboards, and bass, mixed with a variety of lyrical and vocal styles, give their songs an original sound.

Dayglow has opened for acts like Life of Agony’s Keith Caputo and Weezer’s Mikey Welsh. The songs recorded at Breakdown have become Dayglow’s EP, and their song “Congratulations” has been featured on New York City 's Q104.3 Out of the Box with Jonathan Clarke. Dayglow continues to play around the New York City area, and their songs are currently being played on a number of independent radio stations. The band will continue booking shows, festivals, and talent searches, and would love your support!
